Bookfest returns for 2022

City Mission’s annual Bookfest is back from Friday, July 8 to Saturday, July 9, 2022, at The Launceston Conference Centre, Door of Hope, and for the first time, we will also be having an in-store version at the new Ulverstone Mission Shop.

Thousands of pre-loved books, games, puzzles, records, DVDs, collectibles, stamps and art supplies will be on sale, so get excited. You will definitely want to get there early if you want to find that special item.

“Collectors have a lot to look forward to. In addition to over 50,000 books in a variety of genres, Bookfest 2022 promises to be the biggest yet. There will be something for everyone!” said City Mission’s General Manager for Social Enterprise, Peter Freak. "As a result of the successful event last year, we expect an even greater number of people to attend this year's event. We are also very pleased to announce that for the first time, we will be launching our Bookfest on the North West Coast by offering a large variety of books at our new Ulverstone Mission Shop during those days."

Proceeds from Bookfest will support City Mission's services offered to the community.

“We are thankful to the community for making Bookfest one of our major fundraisers, and we are always overwhelmed by their support every year.” Mr Freak said.
