Bushby Property Group on board for winter

The Bushby Property Group is supporting our annual Winter Appeal once again this year.

“This is the third year that we have supported the City Mission’s Winter Appeal and we are proud to be able to assist with this notable cause once again. We appreciate the work of the City Mission in believing that all people should be provided with basic necessities of life such as shelter and food, much like we have been providing the people of Launceston with housing for over 100 years,” said Phillip Bushby, Director of Bushby Property Group.

This year’s Winter Appeal will flow on from the very successful Mission Possible campaign that saw the community and many businesses give and collect over 20,000 non-perishable food items to be donated to support those in need across Northern Tasmania.

The theme of the Winter Appeal will be THE TRUTH IS providing the community with communications on how we can support those in need. For example, City Mission provide over 2,500 people with food, clothing and accommodation support across Northern Tasmania in the North and North West. It is estimated that currently 1,500 Tasmanian’s are homeless in one in seven Tasmanians are living in poverty.

The community can easily help with a donation of cash or food. Examples of where your donations can help:

• $20 can provide a non-perishable food pack for a baby
• $50 can provide food assistance for an individual for one week
• $100 can provide food assistance for a small family for one week
• $250 can provide electricity and heating for a family this winter
