  • Jo Fearman

    Chief Executive Officer

    Jo Fearman is a local leader with a background in organisational leadership at a CEO level, and experience in program and project leadership, entrepreneurial and startup experience, and government relations. She has a science doctorate as well as involvement in fostering local circular economy initiatives, and has a long history volunteering with City Mission which gives her a broad understanding of the organisation. Jo has experience in not for profit governance, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Jo enjoys serving at her local church, she is passionate about social justice and the natural environment, and loves to spend time on the water with her family.

  • Narelle Howell

    General Manager Client Services

    A Registered Nurse for over twenty years, Narelle has worked in a variety of fields and prior to moving into Community Services was a senior teacher in the School of Nursing at TasTAFE. Narelle is passionate about developing leaders and supporting them to reach their full potential, and reducing stigma for those experiencing addiction related issues in the community. Narelle is a Director on the Board of the Alcohol Tobacco and Drug Council of Tasmania.

  • Brian Beswick

    General Manager Corporate Services

    Brian has many years’ experience in business, information management, ranging from technician to project management, innovation development, strategic planning and general management. His previous positions include Senior Advisor to the Tasmanian Government and several senior management roles in State and Local Government, CIO for Challenger Financial Services and is a past member of several national government ICT advisory groups. He and his family are active in the local church community.

  • Phil Beeston

    General Manager Projects & Partnerships

    Phil’s role involves progressing major initiatives such as Mission 2 Home and the Community Precinct (Launceston), working closely with government, councils, community organisations, and delivery partners to turn opportunity into outcomes.

    Before joining City Mission, Phil spent more than 20 years in the design and construction industries, leading teams, delivering projects, and working with diverse stakeholders to solve problems and build for the future. In addition, Phil has held directorship roles in the not-for-profit sector.

    Phil is also a Graduate of the Tasmanian Leaders Program and of the Australian Institute of Company Directors’ Company Directors Course.

  • Bernadette Jones

    Manager People and Culture

    Bernadette moved to Launceston from Perth, Western Australia in May 2014 to take up the position of Manager People & Culture. She has a background in Human Resource Management, Training, and Ministry. She has previously served on a variety of Boards and is an accredited coach with CliftonStrengths.

  • David Morgan

    General Manager Social Enterprise.

    David has been working for Launceston City Mission since January 2020 after 17 years in the Tasmanian business consulting and taxation sector. A long time member of CPA Australia, with tertiary qualifications focused on the areas of Accountancy and Corporate Governance David is passionate about using his skills to help Launceston City Mission self fund as many good works as possible. David is also an active member of the local Christian community sitting on a multiple local boards around Launceston.
