Support Worker AOD - Serenity House

Part Time (20 hours)

City Mission is seeking compassionate support workers to join our team at Serenity House.

Serenity House is a Sobering Up and Place of Safety facility located in Burnie, North-West Tasmania. It is also a place for ‘time-out’, offering communal living under the support and supervision of trained staff. While staying at Serenity House, individuals have the opportunity to look at long term options for recovery and this may include a pathway to longer term residential rehabilitation services.

City Mission is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate administrative assistant with great attention to detail and experience across a range of software management systems to support our dynamic People and Culture team.

Primarily the role will be responsible for processing data and providing reporting and communication to support the workers and P&C systems of City Mission, including but not limited to: City Mission’s Learning Management, HR Management and Volunteer Management Systems.

Position Description

Attendant Resale Shop - Smithton

Casual

City Mission is seeking a motivated and proactive individual with a passion for the environment by diversion to landfill including recycling, upcycling while supporting the retail operations at the Circular Head Resale Centre based in Smithton. The successful candidate will have a high level of customer service and the capacity to work in a diverse environment.

The role also requires the successful applicant to have good computer literacy, money handling, and the physical ability to handle donations.

Position Description

Primary Health Nurse (& Nurse Practitioner Candidate)

Part Time (22.8 hours)

City Mission are seeking a dynamic and passionate person to join the Mission Health team, providing primary health services to people experiencing homelessness, disadvantage, and complex health needs.

As the Primary Health Nurse, you will deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to clients accessing Mission Health. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including volunteers and the Nurse Practitioner, to provide holistic, culturally appropriate care. This role also supports your development toward becoming an endorsed Nurse Practitioner, with mentoring and training provided.
