Attendant Container Deposit Scheme

City Mission has introduced the Recycle Rewards scheme In Launceston and the North-West area by establishing automated depot’s in Launceston and Somerset, each capable of processing 12,000 containers per hour. The Recycle Rewards scheme aims to increase recycling rates and reduce litter by up to half across Tasmania by offering a 10c refund for returning eligible drink. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are passionate about sustainability, making a positive impact on the environment and their local community.

Peer Worker AOD - Serenity House
Part time (28.8 hours)
City Mission is seeking an individual to provide peer support to current and future residents of Serenity House by using their own lived experience of substance use and subsequent recovery.
The position requires the employee to develop working relationships with Serenity House residents and Serenity House staff. Primarily the Peer Worker will be responsible for supporting residents during program at Serenity House to apply the values, principles and guidelines of Serenity House.

Development Lead
Part time (22.5 hours)
City Mission is looking for a well-organised, people-focused Development Lead to help grow our fundraising efforts across the North-West coast region, and to improve our engagement with the community. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, coordinating events, a passion to help others, and working with purpose in a small team environment.
You’ll be responsible for engaging with local donors, businesses, and community groups to support City Mission’s programs, and enhance our knowledge of regional needs. The role includes planning donor events, managing communications, and maintaining accurate records in our CRM system.

Case Worker Admissions - Missiondale
Full time
City Mission is seeking a compassionate and proactive individual to support others who are pursuing help to manage their use of alcohol or other substances. The Case Worker Admissions is required to work within the Intake Team to undertake assessment of clients applying to Serenity House, which is a Sobering Up and Place of Safety facility located in Burnie.
The role is based at Missiondale (Evandale) but will be obtaining intake assessments for clients wanting to apply at Serenity House (Burnie).
