Behind every band aid, flu shot, medical treatment, and reassuring conversation at Mission Health is a team doing something truly special. Lynnette, Jane, Emily, Sarah and a team of amazing health care related volunteers are the friendly faces behind this nurse-practitioner-led, drop-in service - and together they are making a genuine difference for people who might otherwise go without care.
Mission Health provides free health care to people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness, supporting everything from minor health issues and wound care to chronic condition management, immunisations, referrals and more. It’s a welcoming, no-judgement space where people can drop in, be seen, and receive the care they need.
What makes Mission Health so special is the impact it has every single day. For many people, this service is the first - and sometimes only - point of access to health care. By offering free, walk-in, nurse-practitioner-led support in a safe and welcoming environment, Mission Health helps prevent small issues from becoming serious, supports long-term health, and restores dignity for people navigating complex challenges. It’s an essential service for our community - and one that truly changes lives through care, trust and connection.

Lynnette – Practice Manager, team lead who keeps the team inspired and connected.. “A smile on someone’s face is the best part of my day.”
