Full-time Assistant Manager Retail

City Mission is seeking an energetic and experienced retail worker for a full-time Assistant Manager position in one of our largest Mission Shops. Saturday work included.

Essential Qualifications/Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in similar position
  • Experience with EFTPOS
  • Demonstrated initiative, thinking and planning
  • Strong relatinoship building, communication and analytical skills
  • Skills in supervision, reporting and sales budgets
  • Ability to multi-task, plan and manage people to effectively achieve deadlines
  • Experienced in WHS in a variety of work environments
  • Demonstrated capacity to supervise paid staff and volunteer workforce
  • National Police Checkis required for all roles at LCM
  • Wokring With Vulnerable People Card

Desirable Qualifications/Experience:

  • Experience in developing and achieving assigned goals within an organisational framework
  • Experience or demonstrated capacity to work in an organisation adopting a Christian ethos

The position is required to assist in the management of the staff and operations of a Mission Retail Shop in the delivery of quality retail goods and service.

The position requires the employee to develop positive working relationships with peers, management, the general public, stakeholders and other functional areas within the organisation.

Primarily, the Assistant Manager Retail will be responsible for assisting the Shop Manager with: staff management of the nominated shop, providing leadership to workers (paid and volunteer), oversight of staff training, facilitation of quality customer service to achieve budget targets, and overseeing merchandising.

This is a full-time position that will include Saturday work and salary will be based on the General Retail Award 2010.
