Missiondale

The Missiondale Therapeutic Community is a 24-bed residential facility located on a 35-acre peaceful rural property in Evandale, Tasmania. The program is made up of four different stages, taking from 2-8 months to complete. Residents of all stages live together in shared accommodation (lounges, kitchens, bathrooms – but have their own bedroom) to support each other through the program.

Missiondale receives funding from the Crown, through the THO to provide residential rehabilitation services.

Refurbishment of a space for a gym and purchase of various gym equipment was assisted by a grant from Department of Health and Human Services, along with Cape Hope Foundation and Honda Foundation.

Recently, a project to transform an Art and Exercise Therapy Activity Centre has been funded by Tasmanian Community Fund.

Missiondale also receives funding from Alcohol, Tobacco and other Drugs Council Tasmania to facilitate a pilot of family support groups conducted at Neighbourhood Houses for family members of people with addiction issues.
