The CEO of Launceston City Mission Mr Stephen Brown has announced he is stepping down as CEO at the end of September 2024.

City Mission is seeking a qualified and experienced support worker to join the staff of Safe Space Launceston (SSL). Safe Space Launceston provides a dedicated 24 hour/7 day per week facility for people sleeping rough in Launceston. The service offers a 33-bed facility, located close to the Launceston CBD.

City Mission is seeking a motivated and proactive individual with a passion for recycling, upcycling, and retail to support operations at the Wynyard Resale Shop and Transfer Station. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and the capacity to work in a diverse environment. This role also requires the successful applicant to have good computer literacy, money handling skills, and the physical ability to handle donations, including furniture and building materials. The opening & closing of the resale shop will be included as part of this role.
