Winter Appeal Fundraising Activities

City Mission's Winter Appeal raises money to help our Community and Family Support services such as Emergency Relief and Family Services.

In conjunction with the Appeal, there are a few activities that you, your school, your organisation or even your community group can get involved with to help us raise funds.

Mission Possible continued:

After a successful campaign with The Examiner and The Advocate, we have kept the name and continued Mission Possible as our food drive for the Winter Appeal.

All food donations to our Launceston or Burnie locations are used to support families in these local and surrounding communities throughout winter.

  • You can access a list of non-perishable food items here.
  • Please find a copy of our Mission Possible continued flyer here.

Beanie Day - Friday 11 August:

City Mission introduced Beanie Day as part of National Homelessness Awareness Week a couple of years ago. It aims to raise awareness of homelessness in our local communities and collect funds for our support services that assist the homeless.

Organise a fundraiser, wear your beanie and collect funds to help us support those experiencing homelessness in our local communities across Northern Tasmania.

  • Register with us today or find out more by contacting us here.
  • Please find a copy of our Beanie Day flyer here.

Entertainment Books:

These books offer a huge range of discounts at local businesses and attractions as well as for your flights and accommodation - it doesn't take long for the book to pay for itself! With hardcopy and digital versions available, this book adapts to your lifestyle.

20% of the purchase price is donated to our Winter Appeal campaign if purchased through the link below, at Mission on George or at your local Mission Shop.
