Social Enterprise

Over 30% of the City Mission's income is derived from its own social enterprise operations.

City Mission operates various social enterprises which generate funds to support client and community services across Northern Tasmania. In addition to generating much needed funds, our social enterprises contribute to positive environmental, economic and social outcomes for our communities. We provide paid employment and volunteer opportunities for workers through these enterprises that include:

  • Mission Shops
  • Mission on George
  • Launceston Recycling Centre and Uptipity
  • Burnie Resale Shop
  • E-Waste Tasmania
